Final preparations underway for Women in Rail lunch, Heavy Haul Conference

Michelle Cowan from West Coast Eagles AFLW will deliver the keynote address at the Women in Rail lunch.

The Australasian Railway Association is putting the final touches on plans for next week’s Women in Rail lunch and Heavy Haul Conference in Perth, with a busy agenda planned for the week.

Tuesday’s Women in Rail lunch will be the first the ARA has held since 2019, and marks a welcome return for this popular event.

The keynote address by West Coast Eagles AFLW Head of Operations and Wellbeing Michelle Cowan is set to be a highlight, so make sure you book your place by Friday to be part of the event.

The Heavy Haul Conference also comes at an opportune time, as we complete a number of workshops to inform the implementation of our rail freight and ports strategy.

There will be a great deal of discussion on the benefits moving more freight on rail can deliver, and how the ARA can support the industry as it meets growing demand over the next decade.

The ARA has also held its first ARA Industry forum and Industry Networking Dinner for the winner will be held in Brisbane in May.
